The only difference between this course and other courses offered at other elite colleges is its focus on the Red Sox versus baseball in general. Otherwise, this is pretty common.
There are plenty of garbage courses in college I'd prefer my kids not take than this one. At one college visit the speaker told the group they teach freshmen to reject their parent's values and develop a new value base at the college. We walked out.quote:Originally posted by CPLZ:

I don't care what my kids take for electives to keep their grades up. I majored in economics with a minor in quantatative analysis.* I also took Rocks for Jocks (Geology 101), Praying for A's (Religion 101) and A's in the Hood (Urban Studies). I took two Poly Sci courses where spewing socialist and communist rhetoric in essays made for slam dunk A's.
