Batting Cages

During the fall someone vandalized our batting cages and they cannot be repaired. Our county doesn't have the funds to repair the cages, so the only option is to fundraise or ask for donations. We have several of the parents who are willing to help volunteer their time, but as most of you know the materials to build a batting cage cost anywhere from $1500 plus. We have contacted local companies to see if they are willing to donate the materials to offset the cost and are still waiting to hear back from them.

Does anyone else have any other suggestions on how we can get the batting cages built? Or if you know of anyone in the Northern Virginia or Richmond area who can build these at a reasonable cost? If so can you please send me a PM.

You can build a 70 ft cage for under $800. Go to the electrical supply co near you or ECK Supply in Richmond and get this list times 4 because you need 4 arches for a 70ft net.

All 2 inch rigid steel conduit
(2) 2in 90deg galv elbow
(6) 2in galv coupling(pay for 2, bc 4 incl w/ cond)
(4) 2in x 10ft galv cond(have them cut 1 in half)

Put 2 bags of concrete in each 3ft deep post hole.
