Nobody gets heckled on the bench. Smile

Now that right there, I don't care who you are, that right there is funny. Big Grin (and in a sick and twisted Dad04 way, very true)
Scissorball,
Go back and read my original post. I asked a question and stated my opinion. If that makes me a whiner so be it. I understand these teams need money. I never said they heckled my Son. You weren't there but I would guess if you were you would have got your feathers ruffled when they got to the part about sleeping with players Moms and Girlfriends the night before. Sorry, It takes a very small person to stoop that low when they know the guys there yelling at can't do anything about it. Just my opinion, It's over and I have moved on.
I didn't post anything on this thread earlier, as I have noticed adult beverages at one or two of the college games my 17 yr old son and I had attended, but never any incidents. We have been to several different stadiums/college games so far this season. Today we went to Blair Field in Long Beach, and watched the Dirtbags take on Wichita State. Blair Field is just off the CSLB campus. There wasn't any fights, but some of the fans/parents were beyond obnoxious!

First, let me say that I have a beer anytime I attend a game at Petco, Dodger Stadium, or The Big A. I have season tickets to the Chargers, and you bet I Tailgate with my buddies. BUT, I'm not a big fan of people going overboard and getting blitzed at a college baseball game and heckling the opposing players. There is nothing wrong with having a little fun, but not when you go beyond the boundaries of sportsmanship. BTW, this wasn't even a rival Big West League game.

Have some fun with the opposing players, but remember, these kids are still students, they're not professional athletes. Save that energy for the multi-millionaire athletes that come to visit your local pro stadium. I had a blast booing Bonds when SF would visit Dodger Stadium!
