This is the one year anniversary of that terrible tragedy that affected the lives of so many.
Please take a minute today to remember them, the suffering, and their courage to go on and rebuild, with baseball contributing in some small way.

For me at least, these truly show that many of our current threads are truly trivial and meaningless.

'You don't have to be a great player to play in the major leagues, you've got to be a good one every day.'

I've recently been able to get to know the coaching staff at Bluffton, and currently work with a former assistant who recruited all of the players who lost their lives. This is a strong group of kids and coaches. They're going to have a good year on the field and if what their former assistant says is true, their future is very bright. After meeting these guys and seeing how this accident has changed their lives, I know that I will not be able to forget that team and what they've been able to overcome this past year.
