Outstanding school with well-designed academic requirements to assure graduates are exposed to more than just their area of emphasis. Students live on campus all 4 years. I've had family members graduate from BC and loved it, and a friend's son is currently playing "kickball" and loves the place. The town is a small town, very safe, part of a close knit community that loves its sports, especially baseball.

The baseball program is well run and normally competes for the ODAC title. The field is nice; nothing fancy, but a nice place to play. Bridgewater has a balanced emphasis-a former president recognized the value of athletics and worked to boost the sports programs, but not at the expense of the academic side. Coach Kendall has been the head coach for a long time and has enjoyed a lot of success.

Had my younger son not gone to Christopher Newport University, I think Bridgewater was his #2.

My older brother was recruited by Bridgewater so we went up there for a few trips. It was by far the nicest campus we went to,and we went to about 20-25 colleges on trips. The baseball field is just like hokieone said it is,nothing fancy but a nice field. Also If you like the small town feel you will love Bridgewater. But you also have places to go out and do things a few miles north in Harrsionburg.
I was born there and still have family living there,so I still get up there a few times a year. But this town lives and breathes baseball they have had many pro and college players come out of the local HS Tuner Ashby.
Hope something in here will help.
Good luck on your decision

Very nice school...cozy in a small town...campus is a bit spreadout, but you should be able to walk from class to the field on foot. Baseball program always gives us (NCWC) fits when we play them...very well coached team, not a huge roster but looks like if you get recruited you WILL play vice sitting on the bench for first 3 years. Baseball field is very nice, they pride on their ODAC championship and have been very good throughout the years. Coach Kendall usually leaves his recuiting efforts to Coach Spotts. My younger son has them on his top 3 list to go to, just has not decided yet.
Midlo,
My daughter recently graduated from BC.
She/we have nothing bad to say about the school. Bridgewater was a great fit for her. There are many ways for a student to be involved in the college life in the small town atmosphere. There is also the option to drive minutes north on I81 to James Madison for a more exciting evening if they so choose.

BC has very good athletic programs which are supported by the school and students extremely well. I know some baseball players/alum who have the same feelings as I stated here.Feel free to pm me if you like for more info.
