All 19 Butler baseball home games will be broadcast live online and on the air this season thanks to Big Play Radio Sports. The games will be streamed live at www.bigplayproductions.com and will be carried on the airwaves in the Butler campus area on 100.1 FM.

Brian Giffin, the voice of Butler Football since 2002, will call many of the games after spending the 2007 season with the Minnesota Twins Radio Network, while Brian Scott will return to the booth for his fourth season.

It will be the first time in many years that Bulldogs baseball will be available on terrestrial radio with the campus area FM outlet. The games will be available to an even larger audience on internet than in previous seasons as well.

All 19 home games on the schedule will be broadcast, along with the Bulldogs' game against Marian at Victory Field on April 2. Additional games could be added to the broadcast schedule, including games in the Horizon League Championship in May.

any chance they get to do live video webcasts in the future? Their info-tech department is pretty high-tech and cutting-edge. It ususally is a budget concern but many universities are using remote-control fairly cheap web cameras. One in center field offset just a bit to get the plate and then one or two more around the field or stands. Seems to work ok. The broadcasters are rarely seen so that is not an issue (set quality that is).
