To my suprise they were picked over like kernels left at the bottom of the popcorn bag. Nada,..zippo,..nothing left except a few gigantic stuffed gorillas wearing boxing gloves that said " you knock me out ".
Hmmm,...not quite what I had in mind. I wanted the cute chocolate baseball stuff that we all had talked about!!!
I was sooo bummed!!!!
Soooo,....I hung my head, feeling like I had missed out on the entire fun party,.... and pathetically crawled my pitiful self over to the Hallmark store.
I swear I kept hearing Eyore's voice inside my head, " You've waited too long. You're never going to find anything. "
But but but,....what did I see right as I walked inside the Hallmark door,...Valentine heart stuff everywhere!!!!! Whew, perhaps there was hope!!!!
( There was even some Easter decor peeking its way onto the shelves in the back too. Bunnies and colored eggs galore! Pressure pressure,..I better buy it NOW!!!)

What was that on the top shelf?? Baseball mom radar going off loudly in my head!!! The cutest thing of all??? ( I swear the heavens sang and the sun came out all at once!! )

Son has a collection of bballs on a multi tiered shelf in his room. Most balls are dirty and beat up, with a special game signifigance,...I can picture it now,..there will be mine,... the clean shiney one with the heart stitching. Betcha he never forgets who gave him that one!
