My 14U son played against one of the Clubhouse Elite teams in Diamond Nation this summer.   Our team is not very good.  And, when I saw the size of the 14U Clubhouse Elite players, I thought "We're dead.  This could be a 26-2 beating.  I wonder if the game will even last an hour?"  The players on the team were VERY big kids.  But, we had our best pitcher going.  And, he was on.  They only scored 2 runs and we won the game.   It's just one game.  So, take it for what it's worth.

Interesting...so they weren’t all that, huh? Was it definitely their A team?

I don't know if it was their A team or not?  But, they were called Clubhouse Elite.  And, I remember googling them at the field and seeing they were from CT.  I also recall, at the time, seeing the size of some of the kids, thinking, "No way this is a 14U team."  Some of their players looked like men.

I don't recall them making too many mistakes in the game.  To the best of my memory, I think it was more a matter of our pitcher not allowing them to square up many balls and the outfielders running down those that they were able to drive.  I do distinctly remember our LF making a great catch and throw to take them out of one scoring situation.  (That was sort of atypical for the kid playing left and stood out.)
