What I think you've got here is....

Undefeated Miracle's vs. 1 loss DBAT

1 loss Tigers vs. 1 loss Raiders

If Tigers, Miracle, and DBAt advance......

You have 3 teams with one loss each.

Always remember the natural pairing rule.

So yes, I believe DBAT will play Miracle in semi's to get to Tiger championship game.

Now that I think about it, I think Tigers are there either way.

Wow, I really feel better now knowing that you are responsible for teaching sportsmanship to the next generation of area baseball players. Roll Eyes

I have supported DBAT financially and verbally every chance I have had over the past 8-10 years (since the doors opened) and I have nothing but respect for the guys that own and run the place (Kyle and Cade have both helped me out on occasion answering questions) but I think you are reflecting poorly on the organization.

LOL...thanks for the commentary on sportsmanship.

While we're on the subject, guess which team's manager refused to come out of the dugout to shake hands after the Tigers/Mustangs game today?

Cheapseats, you have to consider the source. This guy will never change. Much of what is wrong with youth baseball today can be attributed to guys like this.

LOL...if only you knew.

I could write a book. Maybe I will. Smile

Just spoke to Tommy and he had nothing but admirable things to say about the Mustangs. Of course the Tigers won, but had they lost I am sure he would have taken the same high road if the result were different. I'm headed out there now to coach 1st base, as requested by Tommy. He wanted some experience on the bases.

Thanks PD. It is pathetic commentary provided by some. Yes, my son plays on Sam's Mustang team. The loss today to the Tigers was difficult and I'd say we gave away at least 3 runs by sloppy play including a botched run down of all things. We outhit the Tigers. Very questionable call 2nd. But, that's baseball. We've all been on both sides.

But obviously I've missed the reasons for the hatred towards Sam. And my son gets the Sam treatment by association. If you've got a problem with Sam, take it up face to face with him.

I can tell you that the leaders of the DBAT organization do not share any animosity toward Mr. Carpenter. In fact, they respect him and have a very good relationship with him. Finally, spoke to an observer who was actually there today and he did not see any handshake snub take place.

I echo Natural's comments. He does a lot for amateur baseball in the North Texas area. Every one of us is a competitor on the field, if you are not then why play the game.

Yep, he's first chair all district and has gotten like 13 Div. 1 letters.

Last song he played he smoked the strings right off the shilalie..........

I think it was tuned.....Devil went down in Ft. Worth.

A little twist off ole' Charlie Daniels.
I've stayed out of this long enough. I can understand it's funny to rag on a team and say things about them, but the criticism placed on coach Carpenter as far as I can tell is unnecessary. I played with the Tigers for 5 seasons, and loved every moment of it. Tommy and the rest of the coaches run a good clean show. Playing this year with the Mustangs was great as well. Coach C is one of the nicest men I will have ever played for in terms of displaying his love for the game and for the players. I understand that few here are attacking him as a person, but to insult his team is to insult what he is as a person.

Question some of the decisions, understandable, but get me a little more amped up and I can easily accuse another team of making the same mistake we did.

High school baseball ended for me today. I'm a little disappointed, but forever grateful for all the coaches along the way. There are some who are in it for themselves, Tommy, Sam, the DBAT-ers, and the rest of their staffs are surely not (I don't have experience to speak from with the other organizations. I know there are plenty of good people.)

The Tigers played a good game. Have a dang good team. Celebrate that and lay off getting in your pokes at people.

Any anger in the Mustangs hearts was directed toward the umpires. No reason to be mad at the Tigers.

Raiders over Tigers 11-9.

It's an all-Houston final tomorrow.

Last game was a FUN game to watch.

Raiders 002 020 2 6
Miracles 202 003 x 7

I think that was the line score. The Raiders out-hit the Miracles, and there were some interesting plays, with interference on a runner after a line drive with the bases loaded that ricocheted off the pitcher towards the left side of the infield leading the way. Congratulations to all participants, and good luck to David Clyde, Mike Harris, and the Miracles players in Farmington.
