Coach May,
I haven't been around this site nearly as long as most but I've quickly become a fan of following your post. You seem to really love the game, but more importantly, the young men who play the game. I always love to hear of families with character such as yours having great success. CONGRATS to your son and thanks for what you do for this site, your community (I'm sure), baseball, and the players.

The only problem I have is you are in NC and my boys are in GA.

Again...congrats to your son!!!
Coach,
Congratulations.
What happened today, I expect, started a very long time ago in a relationship between a coach and a son and more importantly, a Father and a son.
I didn't see anything but have a visual of a young man getting on base, taking a very deep breath, and realizing and recognizing a Father who supported him, coached him, nurtured him, supported him...and then let him go to make his future.
Quite a day for Kenny May, Jeff May and the entire family.
Nice job!
I could not be happier for Jeff May and for my friend Kenny May. If I have a mentor on this site, it is Coach May. I spoke to him this weekend, in fact, after our boys shared a field in an ACC series.

We spoke about our kids, and about the importance of them being prepared for when their opportunity comes.

Congrats! And I am particularly happy that the NC Coaches waited til AFTER the Duke series to give Jeff May his opportunity!
Hate to be late for this party, but CONGRATULATIONS Jeff May !!!

I've become a big fan of Coach May's over the past couple of years, and am thrilled to death for his son and his family as young Jeff reaches out and grasps the gold ring (no brass here).

The door has been kicked open. Best wishes to Jeff as he continues chasing his dreams.
Coach May, I print about all your posts and share them with my wife and our son who is a freshman in high school. You are truly an inspiration to all the players you touch and to us on this site.

On a side note, I bought a UNC cap a few weeks ago because I kind of like rooting for their football team. Now I have a rooting interest in their baseball team.

Good luck to your son.
