I also find it hard to believe that the 2004 Greenbrier Christian Team didnt finish ranked. That team boasted a lineup with five future professional baseball players in it. I'm not sure many teams can say that. they did not win the state championship game (lost to a NDA team with several 19 year olds) but they won 42 straight games including beating gavin floyd's maryland team that year.
Billy Chapel...

Very surprised NO Virginia teams ranked in the final 2004 polls by BA.

That's the year Sean I met your father and have remembered his every word addressed to our players and parents during the HS State Championship game Notre Dame Academy vs Greenbrier Christian Academy.

Coach Towny Townsend is a Virginia Baseball Legend whom will always be remembered and I hope one day a very special baseball field can be named in his honor...

"Founding Father of Travel Baseball in Virginia... Coach Towny Townsend"

Your very welcome and it's an honor to talk about Coach Townsend.

Artie Snyder was an intimidator on the mound... and when he was on, Snyder was a tuff arm to face.

NDA has been very strong since 2004 with a solid group of players and coaching. Though 2008 will be a big challenge as I see NDA and Paul VI going head to head in the 08 state finals.

Gavin Floyd was drafted in the first round in 2001 by the Phillies and currently plays for the Chicago White Sox.

Threw a no-hitter and lost in the 10th you say... Ouch! NO, Ouchhhhhhhhhhh!!
