I heard about DM's opportunity and its not a bad place to go - unfortunate timing but a good opportunity. I'll refrain from naming the place as well - until its official.
John is a great coach, and will do a great job! IMO, the kids will love him. He knows his business..
Total guess here: University of North Texas when they ultimately do get baseball?
Bummer if Tompkins gets that job, my son plays on his select basbeall team in Flower Mound.
Guess we will be looking for a new coach, I'm surte he will do a great job at Lake Dallas if he lands there.

I am not sure but I think you are helping me make my point, which is don't believe "everything" you hear from a coach or that is said, and don't get too attached.
I just wound't expect the jubilation to last more than a year or 2 though.
I believe LD is getting one of the top HS coaches in the area. I just wouldn't expect the jubilation to last more than a year or 2 though.

I don't know, but I bet a lot of FM folks will hate to see Tompkins leave. I think the folks in LD will like him.

Texas State baseball: Former TCU assistant Derek Matlock has been hired as pitching coach/recruiting coordinator. Matlock coached at Lake Dallas last season and also at Flower Mound, where he led the Jaguars to the state tournament twice.

with Coach Matlock taking over the pitching duties at Texas State, what has happen to Coach Bushong, he was the pitching coach at Texas State.
