College recuitor sues fibbing parent.
This will go down among insane lawsuits. Bob Jones assisant coach at Southwest College has filed suit against a parent of a potential recruit for severely exaggerating the fastball of his son by over ten MPH's.
Bob Jones said he received a video tape along with radar gun readings showing a low 90's fastball. Jones now calls the video tape about as believable as a Bill Clinton denial. After viewing the tape, he told his head coach and they both made a trip to see the potential recruit. During the game his fastball never ever broke 80 mph and the head coach went ballistic on Jones for wasting his time on a player who can't play.
Jones after returning home filed suit against the players dad asking for recovery of travel expenses and emotional trama of $100,000.
Jones also said he is now being punished by the coach and made to cut the baseball field grass every other day.
