Hey, Justbb & NoCaDad, let us know if you need another arm for the weekend?
JBB,
Dave pitched last night and did well, I stayed in my seat! We won again today, but tomorrow the POKERS meet the BOMBERS, who by the way beat East Cobb in the first round

TP_Mom,
Way to go!
Good luck tomorrow!
Way to go!
Congrats TP Mom on David's outing.
JustBB's son throws tomorrow - I'm going to try and catch part of the game, just so I can watch the show behing the backstop (oh, and see E pitch, too....)
Good luck!

TPM - Thats great! Tell David congrats! Are you going to NM if they make it? I doubt that I will.
URKMB - You talking about me walking 5 miles?!?!
Or the other show?
URKMB - You talking about me walking 5 miles?!?!
JustBB - I'm talking about you wearing a treadpath behind the backstop...
Of course, it's always entertaining at a NorCal game....
Ughhhhhh,
Pokers lost to Bombers with a walk off HR. Have to play East Cobb 10 am to climb back to see if we can get to championship game. Lotsof controversy, whenever the two teams get together.
JBB,
One of the parents called just to see how much it qwould cost from here...1100 approx for the week...yikes!

AAaaah! We lost too. E had solid 6 innings (1 run) and then he tired. We lost 5-3.
Bummer.
Bummer.
Justbb -
Major bummer!
Sorry to hear the news.
Major bummer!
We lost the second game also and are out. Matt went a solid 6 also, but got a little wild in the 7th and was pulled up 4-3. Two pitchers later, a crazy hop with bases loaded and 1 out led to 2 runs and a NorCal loss. Great season team went something like 31-7 against some of the best competition in the country and, as always, met a lot of nice people.
Good Luck to all in their future careers.

Dan,
I heard about it through E. Kind of sad to end it this way, but only one team ends on a win. He said M. pitched very well.
I very much enjoyed watching your son pitch this season. He is really VERY good. I am sure he will have a great career at Cal-Poly. I will enjoy following him on the internet and in one series each year.
Thanks to all the NorCal families for being so kind to us as "late-comers." We are very grateful.
Stay in touch...all the best to all of the kids...great group to hang out with for a summer or two!

Tom,
Thanks for the kind words, I will pass them on to Matt. It was a pleasure watching your son this summer after hearing so much about him. Believe me, he did not disappoint. Look forward to watching him in the future also and proud to know that this is the kind of young man that represents the US in international competition.

Hey Dan -
Sorry to hear that NorCal is out, but I can tell you that at least from the perspective here, N is really enjoying the brief break before reality sinks in once again. Congrats to Matt on a great summer - I agree w/JustBB in that I'll be looking forward to seeing him pitch in the future... Look forward to seeing you (pace) at the ball field!
JustBB - Best of luck to E as he heads off to his next adventure!!! Can't wait to hear all the details.

URKMB - Best of luck to N. also. I guess (hope?) we'll be seeing each other for a couple of series each year.
I am enjoying the break already...although I spent all day at the Pony Region Tournament without any kids even playing in it.

Subia of Arizona wins the West Regional. Congrats to the Team and Coach Dodd and Coach Burrola. Good luck in Farmington at the World Series.
AZpop - Is it basically the same team that won the Tuscon JO a couple of years ago? If so, that was one of the best teams my son ever played against.
Justbaseball, Yes it is basically the same team, they have a few 17 year olds playing with them now but the core of players did win the JO in Tucson that year. They truly like each other and play as a team . I actually coach another team of mostly 17 yearolds and we battled them this year 1-2 with our only win coming in the connie mack state tournament 4-2. Our team felt very proud to have beaten them. They invited my son to join them for the west regional and he gladly accepted, and it has been a great ride so far,and you can't ask for much more than the World Series in Farmington. Never been and my wife and I are really looking forward to experiencing it.
Congratulations!
Congats to Subia. I also saw them at the 2002 JO's and was very impressed with them on and of the field. Good luck in Farmington!
AZPOP - Who did Subia play in the finals?
