the kids are fine -
remember they can recieve general info from the school as sophs & can call a coach any time

if they get recruiting letters too early it's really a pretty cool excuse for the player to call the coach, and chat a bit while clarifing his hs grade level.
if nothing else coach should be pleased you've educated yourself on the recruiting process

Being listed as a junior when you are a sophomore is normally a disadvantage. A recruiter may see a kid who looks good as a “Junior” but if he really knew he were a sophomore, he might evaluate him as an exceptional sophomore and have an interest in them, albeit next year.

I would think that any recruiter who is interested in a kid who he thinks is a Junior but later finds out the player is a year younger, would become even more interested in the kid next year.
