What level? Maybe the coach sees something else wrong? Just because his back foot moves after contact does not mean there's anything wrong with his swing. Its more common than the coach may know. Your boy may want to ask him why he's not batting him when he can bat 11.

I would have to see the swing...but there is nothing wrong with the foot coming forward slightly as long as that front leg is staying stiff and he is not just floating forward to hit.
