Did anybody see this play? Talk about seeing something rare...I don't recall seeing this happen ever before in MLB (at least in my short lifetime). Link above has the video clip (only about 4 minutes) from the Nats/Cardinals game where Morse hits a home run...but then things get complicated. Originally called a ball inside the park, it was reviewed for a home run. Then things got weird, and Morse ends up having to go back to home plate, swing with no bat, and THEN run the bases again. AFTER he had to run the bases backwards from 2nd...hilarious.

Kudos to the umps for getting this right!

Morse showed a lot of class. He was told to swing with no bat but didn't want to show up the Cardinals. Yadi then told him to swing and so, he did. I think that showed class by both players. Loshe, who gave up the grandslam said he knew it was out but didn't want to watch the replay where the umps where trying to get the baserunning right.
