The entire Bichette family travel with our teams to Australia in 2010.

Dante Jr.was the player who was most consistent in his approach to each game each day.

We had 111 players, coaches and parents traveling to Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide. In Adelaide, I asked Dante Sr to provide a hitting clinic and for 2 hours to 100 Aussie and USA players and 10 pro scouts [our coaches] stood amaze at the clinical approach by Dante Sr. to the mechanic of hitting.

Dante Jr. listen intently for the 2 hours w/o expression. I know he has listen many times before, but his respect for his father's discussion was very impressive.

We did not have Preston Mattingly ranked in the top 500 of his high school class. We were shocked that he was drafted so high. He never attended a PG event, but we did see him play in high school. Word is the Dodgers drafted him just to keep him away from the Yankees. Not sure if that is true.

The next time we saw him he was in low A playing 2B in the Midwest League. Good body, obviously great bloodlines, played hard, could run a bit, very stiff, below ave. arm, below ave. hitter, looked very uncomfortable and basically overmatched. From what we have heard he is a great kid.

Maybe we had Dante Bichette ranked a bit low, time will tell. He was #69 in his class. Excellent hitter, has some power, good player, good arm, below average runner. His dad is a very nice guy and his mom is nice too. I'm sure some here already know, she is a knockout!

Those two had only one thing in common. Dad's who were great players.
