Congratulations to David and his family! Roy and Laurie have done a great job in raising a fine young man. David is a top notch student, a great team player, and a great kid. We have had the pleasure of playing for Roy (with Laurie as team Mom) and can say with assurance the that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Roy and Laurie have committed themselves not only to the development of their own son but have contributed graciously to the development of other fine young men through their selfless contribution of time and energy. Good things happen to good people. Good luck and God Bless. The Daly Family.

What turn around? It's called reality. Just goes to show what a difference 3 years can do for a player, negatively or positively. The type of player you are as a freshman, does not mean that is how you will be as a junior.

I do not know him, but have friends that do and I undestand he is a fine player.
Hey BigJD39,

Thanks for the post and for the kind things you had to say about David and our family. We had a
great summer of baseball that ended with accepting a terrific scholarship offer from UM. I have very found memories of the days our boys played together and am thankful for having been involved with great families like yours. When something good happens to someone there are people who are happy for you and some who hope you will fail. I'm glad you are happy for David and hope we can catch a CANES game together in the future. ( I will have extra tickets.)

Here is a link to David's High School Website where you can see some pictures from the signing day....

David Christensen is an outstanding talent. Wow, that Douglas high school team is absolutely loaded.

I 'll have to check, but kind of remember David being good before this year. He does play very hard and that's really nice to see in a player with his tools. He can run, field, hit, hit with power and he has a plus arm. (those are the 5 tools) Miami got another good one, but he may get selected early in the draft.
Tiger Paw Mom,

Thanks so much for your support. If you happen to come out to a Douglas or CSHS game this spring please introduce yourself.

We are also big fans of #47 and he is in GREAT hands with Coach Sully.(One of the best pitching coaches in the country.)

Clemson’s 2005 Fall Signees include two kids that David has played with quite a bit. Buddy Munroe (Miami Fl) and Addison Johnson (NC) both kids can really play.

We will be following your David’s college career closely and wish him all the best!!!!
Canes,
Thank you! I always make the CSHS/Douglas game when played at CS and will be there if there is no conflict watching or listening to the Tigers. And in 2007 you need to make the trip to Clemson for the game.
This year the Tigers come to Miami. Should be an awesome series, with UM trying to get back at the Tigers. Eek

I know of Buddy, and I know he must be good if Sully found him. He will love Clemson.

Good luck this season. Smile

Keep in touch.
