Demarini Top 96 College Showcases

Absolute waste of money IMO. Alot of Grad assistants who work the events with no authority to sign kids. There are much better clinics out there that will actually get your kid exposure.

I agree with NIC15....Not alot of exposure in these events....We have not attendedm but had friends that did and were disappointed

If you will search "Demarini" you will find other threads on this topic. There's a definite difference of opinion on these boards. For my son, it was a good experience. His favorite coach was a head coach from a D1 school. Maybe it depends on which event you attend, but for him, it was a good thing.

Gashouse, I see you are in Ct, as are we. My son attended the event in Hartford last summer.

We were considering the Tufts showcase this coming year.

2012 son did Tufts Top 96 last year. If you do it, be sure to ask for early bird discount and refer some friends to get an additional $25 per succesful referral rebate. It was a good day, mostly assistant coaches with some good evaluations provided. I found it a good way to introduce him to the Showcase environment, making the pressure less for when he did the true Showcase. Only worth it if you get the discounts though.

I disagree. I put my son in last year and he got plenty of looks and attention. still getting emails from schools. Good first showcase/clinic. I repeat first. get the college coaches opinions and work and move on to PG.
