I enjoy baseball, or I wouldn’t be here giving my input or commiserating with the parents on this site. However, some time ago I’ve backed away from sports in general, because I don’t want there to be any confusion (internally or externally) on what I care about or am focused on.

If you’re blessed to have a child that is achieving at something that’s important to them, it becomes important to you as well. Before those lines to get too blurred, it’s important to be sure they understand that achieving has nothing to do with who they are in your eyes. It’s an easy thing to say, of course we love our kids, but how does that love physically manifest itself so it’s truly understood (that last story on the clip brings this home)?
