D1Baseball will have all the schedules out shortly.

I can’t wait!  I am so excited. It’s been delayed far too long. I tried to post a bit from several different conferences to get an idea of what the differences from past years are. Although I’ll admit, the big normal looking schedules make me happier, so more of that is posted, by me.

UT seems to be 20-25% capacity which will be about 800-1,000 people.  We were also told that we will only have 100 tickets for player's families on the road so that equates to about 3 per person.  I know several schools in other states are no visitor fans allowed.  I think the state of Tennessee put into place that their schools cannot play anyone who is not willing to test every player week of games.

Ivy League still up in the air, though last November said delayed start until end of February. A number of spring student athletes are angry that the League hasn't given a definite word of season or no season.  The time has long passed when students needed their tuition deposit.

This is my opinion, not necessarily true, but I think that some delay is due to the NCAA, travel protocals, not necessarily any individual leagues fault.

I've been talking to coach son regularly about his mid-major school/conference and the proposed schedule and guidelines have changed weekly, including a complete flip yesterday.  Conference coaches had voted on and approved one model and then conference presidents reversed the decision (actually, to a preferable model that will allow non-conference mid-week games).  However, there is still a sticking point with the significant difference in protocol of the targeted P5 schools for non-conference games.  Just weeks out and still being sorted.  At least it appears there is a good chance that they will start playing the season pretty soon here!

Texas A&M just announced they are erecting temporary grandstands in three areas of the ballpark to accommodate attendance and maintain social distancing.  Quick announcement link below.  The last paragraph indicates that student pass holders will be located next to the visitor's bullpen to "welcome opposing pitchers."  As someone who has been to many games at Blue Bell, I'm thinking visiting teams my not enjoy that arrangement.

That place rocks!  Tough place to be a visitor. I still love it tho.

University of Tennessee is playing 56 games with regular weekend series and about the same number of weekday games as in the past.  They are playing a Friday, Saturday DH, and Sunday series against Indiana State which is interesting.  Is second weekend of year so we will see pitching that week from guys who may not pitch much.

they also go on two road trips for weekday games which very rarely happens for SEC teams.

A&M is a special place all the way around, but the atmosphere surrounding the baseball program is awesome. Game day experience is second to none - especially for a big game. It’s a must see for any fan of college baseball.

Apparently, the Ivy League still hasn't made a decision about playing this spring. Seems awfully late to try to throw a schedule together, but I hope they do.

This is an odd twist. If there's no season this year, seniors can come back for a grad year to the same school and play in 2022. I could be wrong, but I don't see too many guys choosing that option.
