Bottom of the eighth inning. Winona batter hits one to deep straight a way center. West Florida's CF turns towards the wall and tries to run and get under it, but the ball tips solidly off his glove. Two runs scored and batter gets a triple. No error charged on the play.
Question: What would have to happen differently on that play for an error to be charged? If anyone saw that play and has an answer I'd be interested in reading it. Thanks.
By the way...congratulations to West Florida, National Champions. They were a 12-2 winner over Winona State.
