The responses are atarting to come in every couple of days now from the letters my son sent out a few weeks ago. He really put a lot into those letters, including every vital piece of info a coach could want. He looked at the website questionaires which were all relatively the same and used them as a guide. Had all the pertintent academic stuff as well. Lastly had a page of professional scouts who had seen him play with phone numbers. He contacted the scouts beforehand to verify it was okay to list them. At least half of the response letters have included the questionaire, and a couple have asked for scouts that had seen him. If they would have read the letter he sent they would have seen that every single question on the questionaire was answered, along with the scout info. He has gone from excitedly anticipating the letters to thinking they are generic responses. He's getting a little down about it, thinking he put a lot of effort into something that went in the trash. He still has his junior season in front of him but he was hoping to "get on the radar". What do I tell him to lift his spirits? I'm sure some of you have been there. Tough spot.
Thanks
