Does size really matter??

i know somtimes it does, but you don't have to be 6'4 to throw 90-95 mph.For instance, i was watching the recent college games and i saw pitchers that were 6-4 throwing in the high eighties. Then a 5'11 150 pound guy comes in and throws in the 90's.Jake peavy is barely 6 feet and he throws 94. Pedro is 5'10 and he USE to throw 95.Billy wagner too but has monsterous legs.

Smoky - I think you answered your own question! I do think that kids that have great size get quicker looks than say a 5'10-5'11" kid. However, if 6'4" kid doesn't have the talent, etc., it doesn't matter. Coaches and scouts are looking for players that can get the job done.
