maybe I am just a little low key, but I will take baseball commitment announcements over football’s dramatics any day!

Agree on the dramatics, but it must be nice to hold into multiple offers until NLI day, giving yourself time to negotiate, decide, etc. without fear of an offer being pulled.
Most have something to do with those 85 scholarships...
What the really sad part is ….for way too many of those kids it may be the best moment of their life. Tons of them will get hurt, going somewhere where the guy already there is better, coach gets fired and god knows how many other reasons they won't cut it. On top of that - they won't graduate.

Sounds just like baseball from that side of it.

Probably true as far as the on the field aspect of it as far as making the professional ranks.
IMO football is more of a problem because of the money being made at the expense of young people with inadequate representation. I don't think any college baseball program is a "revenue generator" like football is. Also in football injuries are so much more of an issue. Pitchers in baseball breakdown but it is rarer to hear about the kind of damage that is done to football players.

What do you mean by inadequate representation?
I wouldn’t have a problem with the school giving my kid a full ride if it meant the school profiting. Doubt many would.
