Their head coach, a graduate of the school, is working hard to improve the program. That being said, they still tend to be among the bottom teams in the ODAC year after year. A bright spot for the current team is Chris Harpine who made 1st team All-ODAC last season. A few more recruits of his caliber and they will become much more competitive.

From the size of their roster, it certainly doesn't appear that over recruiting is an issue, as they have one of the smallest rosters in the ODAC. Not sure about facilities....have heard comments, just can't recall and have never travelled there for a game.

The field isn't very nice. They have a cage or two in the gym but thats it. They are bad for a team in the ODAC typically.

Well they did beat Virginia Wesleyan twice in 2009 -- that's an accomplishment.

They are not known for over-recruiting. They improved in 2009 over 2008 but have a ways to go to be competitive in ODAC. I think students have a community service requirement sort of thing requiring some travel-not sure of the details, ubt if you're interested in EMU, I'd ask.

EMU was our first game in the 2009 spring season and they had a fairly small roster. I think they had 24 players in their roster. OF Chris Harpine, OF Ben Wise and C Dylan Smith were the only noticeable players when we played them. Their pitching staff was pretty weak so if you are a pitcher and playing time is what you are looking for, this may be the place. They have a good coach in Mark Mace and I believe he also coached in the Valley League this summer. Hope that helps some.
