I wanna play (put me in coach)
probably Valencia champs over Chatsworth

Same guy who said it was going to be a long season for the 4-0 Crespi team?

Agree that Valencia has the edge.

They are solid, not like some of the teams that Crespi puts out, but solid. We'll compare notes in a month.

I've seen most/alot of the top pitchers north of LAX and I'll take Max Fried from Montclair Prep(jr) over any of them...Gilioti included!

Now, now I'mJustA(Cbas)Dad. Sounds like sour grapes to me. Maybe you mean you would have rather have been facing Max Fried instead of Gio? I don't think it would have made much of a difference, to be honest. They're both teriffic young pitchers but you can't compare apples and oranges: power right hander and a slick throwing lefty. Hell, I'll take them both. In fact, UCLA has!

Wow Aldo (Papa-gio)...one of the best things about baseball is your allowed to have an opinion...and after watching both pitch against my sons team...I'll take Fried...I'd take Koufax over Drysdale in a heart beat for that matter also, apples and oranges are you kidding! Your kid is good enough he doesn't need your biased defense here on a blog~!

I've seen each of them and I was impressed with different aspects of each of them. Fortunately I have no need to compare them. I don't see anything wrong with preferring one over another based on the style of pitcher one prefers though.

The key is that time will tell the answer and barring injury each of them is going to have a fair amount of time left in the game.

You are right. My apologies for my biased defense of Luc with my outlandish opinion that they are both terrific young pitcher. I was just crazy that day and over-reacted. Won't happen again.

But if you really want to compare them, here you go:

Luc is 6'6", Max is 6'3".
Luc weighs more than Max.
Max eats less than Luc.
Max lives in the Valley, Luc lives in Santa Monica.
Max wears braces, Luc doesn't.
Luc's feet are bigger than Max.
Luc wears a hat with HW on it while Max wears a hat with M on it.
Max's Dad is named Jonathan while Luc's Dad is named Rick.
Their Dad's are married to different women.

There's probably more but we'll stop here.

BTW, thanks for comparing my kid to HOFer Don Drysdale and Max to HOFer Sandy Koufax. I told Max's Dad about it. He was as thrilled with your opinion as I was. Much appreciated.
