Hi everyone. Wanted to see if anyone could give me some insight into this program, particularly the coach's skill at developing players, and the level of commitment/interest the school has to baseball.
9 kids out of the program have signed pro contracts, but I'm wondering if that's more due to the program's pro connections (HC runs Devil Rays camps, Brian Sabean and others are former coaches or players) than the program's skill at improving players. Any info would be appreciated.

I have known Coach Mathews for some 12 years now, back to when he recruited my son and he is one fine gentlemen---two of our players are there now and one is a pitcher who is flourishing.

I do know Coach Mathews coaches and instructs in the summers over in Europe

He is well respected in baseball circles

Thank you TR. Exactly what I needed to know. One other question. I haven't contacted the coach myself yet, once I do I could get the answers to these questions myself. Do you know why half the team is from new england? I assume he has a scout of some sort up there, or there's a showcase he goes to. Just trying to find out how to be seen by him. The entire team is from FL, new england or IL/IN. None of which are anywhere near me.

Thank you for the offer. I was planning to get in touch with you anyways since you seem to be the resident expert on the recruiting process (no offense to the many other knowledgeable people on this forum) and my situation is very complex.
