I am about to go to my first showcase in a couple of weeks for college. I had already emailed the coaches of the schools in which I am interested in months ago to introduce myself. Would it be a good idea to send an email a week or few days before the showcase to reintroduce and my precesnes at the showcase etc. Thanks.

Not sure what grade you're in but it's always a good idea to let coaches from schools you're interested in know that you will be at a showcase. If you have video for them to get a look ahead all the better. Just know that not all camps are the same. Some camps are very scout heavy with many college coaches taking a hard look. While other camps are simply designed to get as many kids as possible to sign up, which becomes a cattle call with minimal looks from college scouts. All that said - send an e-mail and let them know that you are interested and that you hope they can take a look at you. Good luck!
Absolutely....sending an email to introduce yourself is great.....but letting the coaches know where they can actually see you perform is much better....especially if you know those coaches will be attending the showcase. Good luck
Yes, it’s a good idea to make coaches aware you’re interested in their program and attending a certain showcases. Even better would be if your travel coach could contact them and presell you as someone they should take a look at.
ALWAYS email recruiting coordinators before EVERY event you do. Never play unannounced. ALWAYS email the recruiting coordinators. NEVER the Head Coach.
When you write your email, keep it short and to the point. Your subject line should look like this :
JOHN DOE OF WASHINGTON HS 2021
Then write a simple hello with just the vitals. If you are a position player it will look like this :
Coach Jones,
My name in John Doe I'm 5'10 175 I'm a 2 year Varsity player from Washington HS and also play travel ball with Canes East and I graduate in 2022. I throw Right handed and bat from the left side and I run a 6.9 60. I was 2nd team all league as a sophomore and 1st team all league this past season. I have a 3.2 GPA and a 1840 SAT score
I'm very interested in playing for you at the University of Indiana. I will be attending the Mid-West showcase on 8/24 and I hope you get a chance to see me play!
Thanks - John Doe

*If you are a position player w/ a 60 time north of 7.0 don't include it in the email.....But that also means you gotta go look for a track coach at a local Juco or University. Foot speed is a major evaluating tool for RC's and you wanna try to break a 7.0
If your are a pitcher , you write the same email except in subject line you substitute OF with either LHP or RHP. And your 2nd sentence is like this : I'm a 6'0 170 RHP. I throw 3 pitches, FB (sits 86 mph and top 89 mph ) CB and a Change.
* If you are a RHP and your FB sits tops 84-85 don't include the Velo numbers. If you're a LHP and your FB tops low 80's that's OK. The magic numbers for velo at the D1 level is 85 on the left side , 88 on the right.
*ALWAYS include GPA and standardized test scores. If you have not completed standardized testing ( ACT/ SAT ) , just write " I'm currently studying for ACT/SAT" . But that being said, if you don't have test scores you need them. Get busy w/ prep work Now.
Good luck and feel free to message me if you have questions

I disagree. There are plenty of schools out there where the HC is hands on with recruiting, especially the younger guys or staffs with new assistants. There are also staffs where RC is just a title - all the assistants are recruiting equally. No sense in emailing an RC if you're a pitcher and want the PC to see you, or know he'll be at a camp/showcase/etc. That's not to say the RC is useless, but far from the only decision maker.
In terms of the headline. Make it stand out, but all caps doesn't do that. What it should say is "John Doe 2022 OF 92mph Exit Velo" or "2022 RHP 83mph" or "2022 C 1.94 pop", etc. You want them to read the email for your talent, not your name or where you went to HS. If you don't have any strong attributes (Velo, pop, 60, height, etc) then you need to go back to the drawing board to begin with.
