Steve Englishbey started out, as far as I know, as a trainer well versed in the physiology of sports. He then became interested in hitting. He spent time with an organization that can't be mentioned here and then began his own business complete with website and DVDs. Simply type Englishbey Hitting into your search engine and you'll view a cite that can better introduce Steve. Steve's presentation is not a technique and it is not as simple as you do this and you do this and then you get this. Rather, it is a way to incorporate the body's core into the hitting process along with muscle and spatial relationships.
Steve's stuff is being misrepresented on several sites. I don't do justice to a description of his beliefs and philosophy. I recommend that you check out the various info available. Then, I'd personally recommend that you check out Steve's Stuff.
I thought I would post here instead of starting a new thread. We started the Englishbey program two weeks ago. We got the basic video to check it out, watched it 4 times and took notes, then got on the tee. Then to the cage.
We're believers now and are ordering the advanced videos this week. And I have started to work long toss to get my arm in shape so I can move the screen in the cage back so I can defend myself...
I am going to try to take The Kid to Steve as he lives near the family. Maybe a day or two instruction to go with and confirm the video instruction.
