Facebook question - psa questionnaires?

I dont pretend to know anything about facebook, but Im sure my kids do ........

but what I am 100 % sure of is to make sure that your student does not have anything harmful or derogatory on his page..........its been reported that some HR departments routinely check the myspace/facebook pages for candidates....

it would seem logical that College recruiters would possibly do the same.......

It would seem so.
Son has an email attached to his facebook for just that purpose alone, exclusively.
He was contacted by two different college coach's at the facebook email address.

Footnote: We made sure to verify that the coach's emails were authentic, by making a phone call.

Not sure what age your son is, but it probably wouldnt hurt to monitor and take a peek as to whats going on there, every once in a while.

They do. I've heard from other coaches and read stories of colleges being hot for a player until they saw their Facebook or MySpace page.

that was a good idea.....to attach the email address for the baseball recruiting purpose. wise to check for the authenticity of the emails from coaches. guess maybe coaches could make contact via the FACEBOOK and direct the student to their official school website and email address at the school. FACEBOOK is hugely used now by students so it's likely going to get some use as a tool in the recruiting process. just like how texting became hot as a recruiting tool, so will probably FACEBOOK. will be interesting to see how it evolves in the coming years. kids are very comfortable using it, just like they are with texting.

I can tell you that there will be a new website launching in the next month or so that will be like myspace or facebook but will be for HS athletes only. PM me if you would like more info..

I'm currently applying to the Athletic Training Education Program here at Southeast Missouri State. In class two weeks ago maybe, somehow Facebook came up. Our professor (the Program Director) suggested we clean up our Facebook pages because even with the new security features they came out with, somebody was able to already get past them (that somebody being him I think).

I looked at him and asked him if he could see the concern in my face. (Or the lack thereof)

Nothing on mine that I'd be afraid of someone else seeing and no pictures of me on others' pages that I'd be afraid of someone such as a boss, etc seeing.

Good rule of thumb for myspace/facebook. The first is dont have one. The second is if you do just assume that your mom/grandma/dad/coach/boss/priest/rabbi looks at it every single day.

Are you talking about trupres.com? Because I have one. Trupreps.com/pino ........it doesnt have much info though. But still a decent website kida cool in my opinion.
