I understand tv not showing fans running on the field as to not encourage them wanting to be seen. But if security hits the guy like a blitzing linebacker sacking a QB they should show it. It would be funny for the viewers. It would be a lesson for what you get if you run on the field.

Networks (ABC and CBS?), both showed Iowa and Texas A&M storm the field last weekend. They stayed on it for a good couple of minutes. Maybe I have been turning games off early, but haven't noticed field storming being shown in years.
It looks cool, underlines the excitement, but it's dangerous. I don't know if it's the networks responsibility, but not showing it could be a part of TV rights negotiation. It's the school responsibility to keep it from happening.
It's good danger, though :-). Fond memories of rushing the field in '86 after we upset USC and almost getting killed by the great Hardy Nickerson (put him in Canton already)
There’s a difference between students storming the field after a big win and an idiot running on the field in the middle of a game.
Mike “Mad Dog” Curtis was a mean, nasty linebacker for the Colts from 65-75. Some moron ran on to the field and tried to scoop up the ball. Curtis leveled him.
