Found the part about the poor first season in a wood bat league interesting.

Blake Sharpe from USC took a pounding relative to draft status when he didn't hit well in the Cape Cod league ending up staying in college for his senior season. However, he hit fairly well during his first season in pro ball.

A player's first season in a wood bat league may not be a very good indicator of their ability to hit with wood.
It's like deja-vu, all over again.-Yogi Berra

Could we possibly have another player here in Reginald Williams who could be a 1st rounder?

Other Players who are having a late-surge with outstanding character and make-up are prospects like young Reginald Williams(2009) and JD Williams(2010) who are projected very highly by the scouts and evaluators involved with the rankings, already.

These players will pave the way for many others in that area as far as a feeder system for the gates of professional baseball from programs such as the ones the Tampa Rays public relations have targeted in their efforts the most.

Reginald Williams is an humble young man who will be a player to watch this spring. He really wanted to attend the Jupiter event with his team this year, and never stopped working on his game while many others from his area who are top prospects, were "able" to attend. I pray this will not be held against him by the scouts and rankings people because I can truly say he has worked as hard, or harder, than any other player I have followed in the past four years. He has continued to improve every time I've seen him during this time and has matured into a game-ready centerfielder who can play shallow and really run the ball down. He is exciting to observe on the basepaths too because he steals every base open in front of him, no matter who's catching or pitching. GREAT INSTINCTS and BLOODLINES are beginning to manifest special talents and abilities in young Reginald Williams.

Even though Russ wasn't a 1st rounder, I wouldn't want to cheapen his success at the Major League level, and feel like alphabet Jack cetainly knows a lil bout scouting since his incredible run with the Brew Crew~

Congrats to the Seattle Mariners and Jack Z for this tremendous foresight on a future MVP candidate~I know too that Branyan's best years are still ahead of him;>Wink

God Bless Jack!

Sincerely,
Shep
