My son is being recruited by Florida Tech (D11 school in Melbourne). We are from Virginia and would like to get some instaters opinion of the school and baseball program. Any comments would be appreciated.

It has a high turnover rate of players and is danger of getting its funding pulled every year because of budget concerns.

Paul Knight and Greg Berkemeier and two pretty good young coaches. 2nd year for both at FIT. Turnover likely tied to Coaching change as well as difficulty of academics and price. We had the chance to meet them during the Fall scout team season and did consider FIT for my '04. FIT is an outstanding school if your student is interested in Engineering or Comp Science. Students generally start their major right off the bat.Small school environ...but with 25% foreign student population. Great surf and great fishing in Melbourne.
