FM vs Coppell

Where do ya'll keep coming up with this stuff about sitting out a game after an ejection? Unless the school or coach has a policy of sitting a kid, the kid plays. The UIL doesn't have any such policy.

The policy you may be referring to is the policy governing coach ejections. I understand that any coach ejected during a UiL sport must appear in Austin before the State Executive Committee, at which time they can issue a punishment up to and including game suspensions.

Not aware of player ejection resulting in that unless it becomes chronic.

Wonder if Train's first name is Tommy?

Would explain his knowledge of Coppell and FM.

BTW, here's LISD's Code of Conduct, doesn't say anything about a suspension.

We had a player ejected in a game a couple of weeks ago. He did play the next game, so I'm assuming there is no 1 game suspension for players that are ejected.

OK - let's say it rains tomorrow and the postpone the game, Saturday FM plays McKinney and then has a Tuesday game with Lewisville and Hebron on Thursday.

When do they schedule the game?

That could really mess-up their pitching...what's left of it.

The non-district games probably get bumped.

The way it's raining, there is no way most games will be played tomorrow.

Haha, I don't know who train is, but I'm positive its not Tommy. Also, just because there are several tigers at Coppell doesn't mean that Tommy has anything to do with; I'm wondering who has started all these tiger rumors...

I was told last night that the FM vs Coppell game is supposed to be Saturday at 7pm. Is that still on?

I cannot believe JM showed up last night.

The non-district games are scheduled primarily to allow the players who don't get much playing time during district play a chance to perform in game situations. I think it's a good idea.

Yes, they are the first ones to get bumped in makeup situations.

MMWS -- I sent you a PM last week -- not that you need to reply, but sometimes they're lost. Thanks for oferring to help with umps for Sat night -- it worked out fine with our chapter. Seems some of the makup games did not materialize.

He is a good young man and has a good head on his shoulders, very intellegent. Very athletic. You are very lucky and deserving to have him and all that he brings to the table. Good Luck!

After much thought and a few conversations I have changed my mind.

This move was for purely athletic reasons. Two good ones, football and baseball. This kid should have to sit-out an entire year period. Not his fault, just bad timely and decisions made my the adults in his life.

If the Flower Mound AD / Football head coach can get it done I think it would serve as notice to all parents to think before they move.

Meatsdad - I admire you for going on the record with your thoughts. Although no one but the committee will have all the facts, I believe many outsiders looking in have the same opinion that you do.

Personally, I think they will side with the athlete so as not to prevent a great talent from missing a year of development.
