Freshmen year of High School is pretty fun.

I went to a Vocational School so I had Classes one week and Shop the next. Complicated at first, but I got used to it. We had social events (Semi-Formal with the Sophomore Class)and other things to help us feel welcome. I played 2 sports, Football and Baseball. Really helped me with the transition.

First, Check with the Coach. See if there is any off-season programs you should be aware off. Ask him for the date when preseason tryouts begin. Then, talk with dome older guys that have been on the team for a year or two. most of the time, they are very approachable. Then check with the Guidence Counseler or the Atletic Director for any grade requirements. YOU CAN BE DECLARED UNELIGABLE FOR POOR GRADES!!! I can;t stress this enough. You there to get and education and that diploma at graduation. DO THE WORK!!!!

As baseball season approachs, make sure you have all medical papers in, report cards to the coaches, and make sure you are ready to work your butt off. the coach is looking towards the future with you. GET NOTICED!!!! Check this website for what a coach would look for(pretty much the same across the country).

Hope that helps, and let us know how u do this year!!!!

You didn't cheat your coach. You cheated yourself. The coach wanted you to run to be in the best possible condition to be the best possible player. Catchers need strong legs to move quickly to block pitches. Your goal must have been mediocrity with no desire to play at the next level.
