Lamar played Trinity today and I think the final score was 8 to 5. Lamar used 9 different pitchers and all did well. Defense was excellent. Did have one scary moment when one pitcher was hit in face from a line drive. Ball was hit so hard it bounced straight in the air and the 3rd baseman made the catch for the 3rd out of the inning. Was very scary sight but the pitcher was able to get up and make it off the field on his own. He looked to be okay but he was still taken to the ER for a checkup. Hopefully nothing more than a deep cheek bruise.
I saw Plano hit the ball well against South Garland. SG looked fine, but didn't have the pitching to keep up on this day.

Then I checked out FM Marcus' Round Robin. Didn't see them tie Cleburne 2-2. Marcus was beating Mansfield Timberview 4-2 when I left in about the 6th inning. Marcus is young, with almost all 09s starting and all three of these teams looked to have a chance to be pretty good! I think Timberview beat Cleburne in the other game.
Should be noted that Plano and SG were doing alot of situations, so often started the inning with runners on base depending on what the coaches wanted to work on.

Plano did hit the ball well. SG had some nice plays but their SS was not having a good defensive day.

Sidenote: JV Maroon played SG JV @ SG and won big. JV White defeated McKinney North JV Fri night.
