McKinney North----19 20 5
Frisco Centennial---14 14 3

North had a 19-6 lead going to the bottom of the 5th and only needed 3 outs for a run rule win. Centennial scored 8 runs before we got the 1st out of the inning! It was a crazy game!! 3-1/2 hours long. There were 34 hits on the night and only 5 of them were for extra bases!

WP-Justin Scharf (first ever varsity win)
LP-Krause

2B-North-Yates-1; Florence-1

HR-North-Nico Taylor 2 (1-GS) 8-RBI

Leading Hitters-North-Florence 3-5; Taylor-3-5; Sorrells 4-5; Carpentier-3-4

Kirk and gang,

Congrats on the West win. One of the most exciting hs games I have seen. Too bad somene has to be on the loosing end of a one like that. Your depth keeps the opposition puckered 1 - 9. (10 with Kahn Wink ) Davis threw really well for Plano. Nice to see that young man step it up. What a great kid.
Good luck and and we will see you next time.
T-Ball, if I was your coach, I'd have them out there against each other today, with the pitchers throwing at least 150 pitches each <--- this action will prepare the team for Tuesday's cake walk against the lowly Panthers from the other side of town.

One good thing may come from Tuesday night -- Todd Wills and the Plano paper may actually be forced to cover a Plano East game.....unless, of course, there is softball nearby.

Smarty pants, Todd Wills writes for the DMN, not the Plano Star Courier.

When I finish writing my book, "Highschool baseball dad's obsession with internet message boards", I will call and have you proof read. Razz

P-Daddy,

Yes, I was surprised to hear that we were having practice on Sat. and sunrise practice Sunday to get ready for the Panthers on Tue. Cool I can tell you one thing, no one in this district is going to overlook you east-siders!
Since you offered such valuable advice to our pitchers, may I suggest that you take Jeff on a very long hike and maybe have him hit the weights over the weekend Smile

Have a good Easter

So that's how our bats were held in check, PD and Matt Garver providing the knowledge regarding our hitters. Smile

Or it could have been because Derek Davis pitched a really good game. Plano does have a bright future. T-balls son is half of a very smooth looking MIF. Plano will have a very good defensive and offensive infield next year.

Good Luck in all of your games next year... Big Grin
