Wanted to get some opinions on the new frozen ropes facility on touhy in Chicago. Has anyone here joined as a member? Do they offer quality instruction?

They have a website @ frozenropes.com with a link to their Chicago location. My information is that, while they are giving some privates, their business model is directed more at group activities and teams--but I could be wrong. I do know they charge a yearly membership rate, which definitely kicks the price of their privates up significantly over the average for a half hour lesson.
The facility looks impressive--I drive by it all the time. I do wonder why they built a full-size infield, but then have walls and windows within 6' of the baselines--seems to cut down on the usefullness of the "full" infield.

The facility is nice. The windows are protected by nets. They can give regular infield practice at 90'. The pitching mancines are also outstanding. You can get private lessons without joining, I beleive. By joining you get a video evaluation, some camps, and discounts on othe classes and camps. My son wants to join, but I don't know any of the coaches. They supposedly hire and train the coaches, so who knows. I would appreciate some input as well.
I have been inside once to take a peek at what it looked like as well. I just was wondering how good the instruction was and who some of the instructors are. I guess we will have to wait for someone who belongs to come on here and give us some feedback .Like you said k-13, there is not much room in foul territory .
I have been to FR in White Plains and FR in Glen Burnie Maryland. Three thumbs up.

bbdad...I was aware the windows were protected, I just thought it odd that they built a full infield square, but didn't leave much room around or behind it. In either case, the facility is definitely "pretty".

I took my son here for a lesson and the instruction was excellent. I'm considering signing him up for a membership. The prices really are not that bad, plus he gets 5 free lessons and video analyis. I believe all the instructors are trained in the same philosophy meaning they teach the same exact way. Sounds pretty cool. What do ya think?

my son has been taking lessons there and I beleive he is being helped significantly. More important, he says it is helping, and he looks forward to going each week.
