HS Coach-1st game of the season.

So we had our 1st game today and already new questions. Please help.
Sit 1.) Batter hits ball that looks like it may have him hit in in the box, but didn't. PU calls Foul (not loud and in an unsure way) but play continues. F2 doesn't appear to hesitate and fields it and throws just late to F3. The BR is called safe. Should the play stand or should it be a foul ball?
Sit 2.) F1 fields a bunt and throws to F3. The throw takes F3 a little into the baseline where he attempts to catch it just before the BR arrives. BR throws up his hands to protect himself but they hit F3s glove just before he can catch the ball and the play is not made. Should something have been called?

These plays are always going to have a certain element of HTBT...but we have to be careful here....at a certain point the batter runner has the right to touch the base...and if the throw brings the fielder into the path of the runner, then what we could have is a trainwreck....and play on.....

If both players are doing what they are supposed to be doing...B/R tagging the bag and fielder attempting to field a throw...we cant force a call into that situation....sometimes a play like this is just a trainwreck.....
Thanks Guys. Yes it was a trainwreck as a major collision followed and F3s glove was knocked off. Navy, I am actually a coach and yes for the defense. The runner did use the running lane and although it was probably a defensive reaction by the BR, he very clearly pulled down F3s arm. Of course I am going to argue and defend the safety of my players but I can certainly see both sides and agree with all of your responses. Thanks
