Seems like Fletcher would be the obvious choice. He was the head coach at Tucker before leaving to become an assistant at Godwin this year (and is also a former Regional COY while at Manchester). In light of Marano's retirement, the move starts to seem like laying groundwork to replace Marano.

Godwin was rebuilding this year and still had a decent regular season. With Aaron McGarity back at the top of the rotation, they should be set to be in the mix for the Colonial title next year.
Yes.

Career and family opportunities.

Came to Tucker to get into Henrico County Public Schools. Switched to Godwin for professional reasons as well.

Schools want coaches that teach in the building most of the time. So when a teaching opportunity at Godwin he jumped at the chance. Even though he'd have to be the assistant behind Marano and give up the head coaching job at Tucker.

Like most high school coaches he is a teacher first and a coach second. Most people tend to forget that.
