Bob, I want to Thank You now. And in advance of your Japan Trip!
For your Tireless Dedication to the Game of Baseball.
Not only in the States, but Worldwide.
You Had a Vision of where baseball was heading, when you Started the Area Code Games, And now you are ahead of the Game when it come's to International Play.

Thanks Again and Good Luck in Japan in June. the EH
the EH;

When I viewed the Japan/USA games on Sunday,
I recalled a similar instance with the Japan, Korea and our American Team in 1992.

Our umpires made a similar "decision" against Korea and the Korean Team with Chan Ho Park refused to "take the field" until I persuaded
the umpires to change their decision.

When we travel to Japan, their umpires are very respectful of our customs and many times have slanted the "close calls" in our favor.

With our tall catchers and the short Japan umpire, we have to tell our catchers to stay low, so our pitchers can receive a low strike call.

International baseball is challenging and most enjoyable for our players, coaches and myself. The Japanese center fielder and Derrek Lee played against each other in the 1992 Goodwill Series.

The Yankees H. Matsui, Torri Hunter,
Mark Redmond, Buddy Carlyle, Nate Yeskie
and Mickey Callaway played in the Goodwill Series.

We now interviewing players for the 2006 American Team. For the American player, this is an "outstanding" experience.

As hitter, he should be ready for a "breaking ball" on the 2-0 count.

Our American player needs discipline, self teaching and ability to make adjustments.

"can a coach teach a player to read the bat"?
