It depends on his batting average, his era, or whether they are cheering him or booing him!
On a serious note. I think supporting your son in a small way with his number on a baseball pin or a small baseball patch, if tastefully done, is OK. It also might prevent someone from embarassing themselves by saying something tacky about your son. Personally I think a game jersey is bush league and will probably embarrass your son.

I'll admit being an owner, against my better judgement. Thanks for the input. I'm thinking a number under the cap bill is plenty. If I wear the pepper hat no one will likely notice the jersey though.

Im the college logo golf shirt type myself. I do admit to the cap with # 18 under the bill......
As far as jerseys go, I only wear a blue one with red, white and blue stripes........the team jerseys are for the players to wear....

I have to go with PIAA on this one. A nice golf shirt is a tasteful way to show your support, looks good and is comfortable.
Now, if they offered Hawaiian shirts in team colors....
