For those of us of the Jewish faith on the board, tonight is the beginning of our most important holiday, Yom Kippur. For those of you who don't know, Yom Kippur is the "day of atonement" that comes 10 days after Rosh Hashanah, the New Year.

So to all of you out there, I wish you a happy and healthy new year.

Ktivah V'chatima Tova (may you be inscribed in The Book of Life for a good year)

Now that the fast is over this is probably a good place to talk about the fantastic Jewish players currently in the MLB. Ryan Braun, Kevin Youkalis, Scott Feldman, Ian Kinsler, and especially our family friend, Sam Fuld. Mazel Tov to all these great players.

(PS - I intentionally left off about a dozen other, current, major leaguers of Jewish decent for you to identify!)

Here's a good site to identify those in baseball that are members of the tribe. Smile
