I pray that everyone is able to take a moment to enjoy their friends and families. We have all three kids home and are really soaking up the time together; grateful for the love, laughter and great memories. Church was special on Sunday with almost all of a cohort of 20-25 year olds there reminiscing about Christmas pageants of old... I'm overwhelmed with gratitude!! And thankful for the motley crew we make here on HSBBW. 🥰

Thanks for posting such a joyous message. Best wishes to you and to the whole motley crew!
Thanks for the post. I miss the Elf on the shelf Christmas but I still struggle watching nieces and nephews imbibe alcohol. I had a cigar with my oldest talking about life. HAPPY HOLIDAYS
Paula;
I appreciate your kind " Holiday Greetings". Do you watch Ken Burns Baseball 10 innings.

Wonderful Christmas here as well. Watched my boys play basketball with their friends. It made me remember how much I enjoyed watching them play that game.
Merry Christmas @PTWood and everyone at HSBBWeb! First year celebrating Christmas with 3 married men, and our daughters in law. All three of my son's married women who only have sisters...many sisters. It is an interesting dynamic to listen to.
Its different for men, as my best friend and I were discussing the other day. He was not aware of the long held tradition that women select where they will spend Thanksgiving and Christmas....with their family or with the husbands family. I explained it to him. I felt like I was explaining the birds and the bees to him because he had no clue. My wife and I are used to it, and we plan accordingly.
Please be safe, and hug the ones you love!
@adbono My grandson born 8/23/23 is named Brooks! (old family name....not after the baseball player)
@fenwaysouth I feel your pain about the girls doing all the planning. I tell my friends that have kids out of town to enjoy it when their kids come, because they stay for several days. I get about 2 hours on Christmas morning. Sigh.
My Grandson (long story, unexpected, but a blessing) was born 9/14/23). Ezekiel. Love the little bugger.
We had a quiet Christmas but completely identify with “Overwhelmed with gratitude!!”
Congrats to all the Grandparents! We’re still waiting for an inkling of maybe on the grandkid’s thing…
@PTWood, I thought it was spelled, Mötley Crüe? I was always more a Metallica fan, although I think it’s all classified easy listening oldies now…
Happy Holidays All!
Wow - Brooks is a popular name here (our 3rd grandchild born in June 2023)... The kids swear it wasn't after the baseball player or golfer... This year we got 5 days of seeing him (and our son) at Christmas... Of course our DiL's parents are getting a much longer visit (like every other year it feels <sigh>, so yes, I feel fenwaysouth's pain as well. We have learned to take what we get and enjoy it. Happy wife, happy son ;-). Better than the drive-by ~5 hour visit we got a couple years ago (DiL's parents are 3 hours south of us). We got a week with our other two grandkids split between 3 days at Disney and 4 days at our house for Thanksgiving - so it's been a good end to the year!

Congrats AB.
It's the best watching them grow and get their personality. .
And you'll find that there are a lot more presents under the tree.
Hope all is well and that you guys have a good season.
My first was born on 2/1/23.
FIELDS MCKOY
Guess we'll probably see each other around the metroplex in about 12-13 years (who knows they may get to play together, wouldn't that be a story)

In the grandparents thread of hsbaseballweb I saw my granddaughter born on Halloween for the first time this week. Thirty years later I remember all the verses to Wheels on the Bus. There’s so much joy in making a baby smile. Quaking like a duck also makes her smile. I can’t wait for the uncontrollable laughter. It’s the coolest sound.
If you think this is a devilish look now, give me time …

I fondly recall liking your ball player pictures and now grad kids. This evolution has sunk in yet, but cheers to all the peepaws and meemaws in here.
