Two separate incidents. Runner at 2nd, ball hit in the 6 hole, runner stops either infront of or on either side of the ball, avoids it, and then attempts to advance to the next base. No contact made by either player.
Attempt #1) Shortstop fields the ball but has a throwing error. Attempt #2) SS Misplays the ball, has to eat it.

What is the call(s) using NFHS rules?

So much of this is what was seen during the play. But here is my take.

If the runner stops in front of the ball, In effect obstructing the fielder from seeing the ball then you have a case for Interference under NFHS rule 2-21-art 1.

If the runner stops before or after the ball passes (not sure why he would stop after the ball passes) and has avoided the ball....then I have nothing.
