My son was at a showcase no too long ago and all the kids were asked to run from home to second. I realize this is 60 yards, but obviously this run would be slower than a normal 60 yd. dash. Does anyone know what a good home to second time is? Is there a standard? Based on rounding, I'm guessing around 7.5 - 7.75 would be good times, but not sure.

Thanks.

Wondering similar thing, but timed at a Nike Speed Challenge, ahead of a multi day tournament, from 2B to Home. 2013 has a bone spur on his left foot's big toe, that he has been nursing awhile with a Sports Doctor / Podiatrist. His overcompensating also created some medical issues on the underside of that foot. Probably looking at surgical removal later this Summer. Although his Coach was aware of this, he signed son up for this event. Son probably wouldn't have. Anyways, he placed 3rd, with a 6.88. Not great, but not too bad all things considered. Plus..."he" had to drive the 8 hour drive, check in to the hotel, took a power nap & shower & go to the event. A 6.66 won the event. Good luck with your son.

The standard measure is the home to 1st time. I'm sure there could be some people out there interested in the home to 2nd time, but the majority of coaches/scouts are looking at home to 1st.

Maybe they did this to get a true reading of the home to 1st time? Without being there I have no way of knowing, but I've never heard of any coaches/scouts wanting to know what the home to 2nd time is.
