Areas like Hampton Roads VA and Marietta/Cobb GA seem to have alot of Prospects being developed. Does anyone know of other areas that could be considered hotbeds of talent similar to those above?
I remember reading something about Key West becoming a 'hotbed' of sorts.......largely because of Raiko Alfonso, I believe - and others on the way towards the center of the radar screen.
Atlanta area San Diego area Orange County area Bay area Phoenix area Houston area Dallas Ft Worth area Tampa area Miami area Orlando area Las Vegas area Memphis area New York area Puerto Rico Seattle area St Louis area There are many many more!
PGStaff, thanks for mentioning the St. Louis area. People don't realize that it is rapidly becoming a baseball hotbed. College programs (I could name more than a few.) are beginning to realize the talent level and have made huge efforts to improve their efforts to recruit this area.
We are a small Class AA high school in our area. (1,200 students) Yet, many college coaches are amazed at our facilities. (3 Full cages, 2 half cages, 2 portable cages, etc.) We pale in comparison to some other high schools in our area. We could name several major league players and more minor league players from this area. We will conitnue to grow in ability as we all race to keep up with each other.
