My son is beginning to think he is jinxed. I'm not sure if it is the 14u season, or he really is cursed, but he seems to injure people at just about every other plate appearance lately.
-Foul tipped ball, hit umpire in wrist, thing swelled up in under a minute and he had to leave the park. He thought it was broke but we heard the next day it was a deep bruise.
-Foul tipped ball, hit catcher in the throat/jaw area, kid had a pretty impressive mark but was able to continue
-Foul tipped ball, somehow hit umpire on back shoulder blade, was able to continue after a few minutes.
-Ball hit back to pitcher, while pitcher was falling I can only assume he attempted to bare hand the ball and the ball went in between two middle fingers and split the kids hand down to the middle of his palm.
-Ball hit to SS and somehow pegged him in the shoulder, he was removed from the game.
This all occurred in the last two tourneys. Is he just cursed or are these things common?
